General information only
The content of this site is patient education. It describes what produces horizontal forehead lines, how the lines and the brow are read together, and what treatment costs in time, recovery and risk. It is not a diagnosis, it is not a treatment recommendation for any individual, and it does not create a doctor-patient relationship.
No substitute for examination
How much of your own line is movement and how much has moved into the skin depends on looking at your face at rest in light from a known direction. Where your brow sits once the frontalis stops pulling depends on relaxing the muscle and looking again. Reading this site cannot substitute for either observation, and a plan made from a website alone is a plan made without information.
Results vary and are not guaranteed
Individual results differ, some treatments work over months rather than weeks, and no clinician and no website can guarantee an outcome. Any statement that appears to promise one should be treated with suspicion wherever you encounter it. The face continues to change after any treatment, and further treatment may be needed later.
If something is wrong after treatment
If you have had treatment to the forehead and develop rapidly increasing swelling, a tense painful area, spreading redness or fever, bleeding that does not stop, a drooping eyelid, double vision or any change in vision, contact the treating team or seek emergency care immediately rather than waiting for a routine appointment. Severe pain in the forehead or around the eye, or a patch of skin that turns white or mottled after an injection, is urgent.
